Released in 2012, the track pairs Rihanna’s commanding vocals with production by David Guetta, Giorgio Tuinfort and Terius Nash. Its forceful electronic sound and heavy bass set the tone for the album’s bold, confident mood. Co-written by Rihanna, Guetta, Tuinfort and Nash, “Phresh Out the Runway” made several chart appearances following the release of Unapologetic. It reached number 35 on the UK R&B Chart and number 177 on the UK Singles Chart, and debuted at number 21 on the US R&B Songs chart. The song also charted in France and on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart. It was performed during Rihanna’s 777 Tour and Diamonds World Tour.
